Being Faithful

[147 words]

There can be nothing more important in any relationship than faithfulness. It is the test of true devotion and love. It is the virtue that authenticates the bond and communicates an invention to “stick with” one another to the end. We value faithful friends, family members, and especially spouses as the people in life on whom we can truly depend.

In fact, we have little use for the unfaithful. No one wants a “fair-weather friend” or a spouse who is not true. Every employer wants employees who keep their word and show up for work. Unfaithfulness is the essence of being undependable. Such people are never there when you really need them. In short, they always let you down.

Why would it be any different with God? We have seen His abundant love; is it any wonder that He desires faithful love from us in return?
