Because God is Light

Because God is light, we cannot have fellowship with Him if there is any darkness in us at all. Light can have no fellowship with darkness. Since we’ve all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, only if Christ’s blood washes us clean of sin and then continues to was us clean as we walk in the light can we have fellowship with God and so others who are also walking in the light. Fellowship is exclusive. And, in a culture that values inclusion, we struggle with where God Himself has drawn the line. You are either in or out of Christ.
