As our members are aware, we have had various problems with email delivery and website reliability over the last couple of years. Free or low-cost options are not reliable enough, and expensive options are beyond our financial means due to the low cost of our memberships. However, we have arrived at a solution.
Beginning in September we will be publishing our weekly newsletters through the secure and reliable Substack platform. This is the best move for our subscribers, since it will alleviate both the email delivery issues and the constant attacks from hackers on our website. Plus, the Substack version of Bulletin Digest is MUCH faster, so you will have no more slow page loads or login issues.
All paid members will be given a free Bulletin Digest Substack account that expires at approximately the same time as your regular Bulletin Digest website account (we will err on the side of longer). Members who have an active ongoing subscription (one that bills annually automatically) will have that automatic renewal canceled.
Over the next several weeks, we will be moving all materials to the Bulletin Digest Substack site. We will strive to make this as seamless as possible for our subscribers.
Once all materials are moved to the new Substack site, we will no longer take membership payments through the old site. We will keep the old site running until all materials are moved to the new site and everyone is stabilized.
When your Bulletin Digest regular membership expires, you will then have to pay for your subscription through the Bulletin Digest Substack site, which is simple and secure. You can choose to pay by the year, or by the month. There will be a rate increase (the extra security, reliability, and power of the new system does not come cheap), but it’s been many years since we’ve raised rates, and we are running at a deficit because of this. Nevertheless, you can still get all the great curated and sound materials collected for you each month for less than the price of a burger and fries, so we think it’s still a great deal!
Be sure and look for your newsletters from Bulletin Digest on Mondays and Preaching Ideas on Tuesdays. If you don’t see them in your email inbox, be sure and check your spam folder and mark it as “not spam.” You can control how frequently you receive emails from us in your Bulletin Digest substack account.
This will not be as complicated as I’ve made it sound, and I believe you will love the new system even more than the website version!
As always, if you have questions or concerns use the Contact page to let us know.
Thank you for your support in this work, and may God bless you in your work for Him!
