Use Me, Lord

[235 words]

Most of us will live on the earth between 70 to 90 years.

Why are we here? To fear God and keep His commandments according to Ecclesiastes 12:13.

Why should be care? Because He will bring every work into judgment along with every secret things (Eccl. 12:14).

With this in mind, we should first desire to be in a proper relationship with God. We can only do this through obedience to the gospel of Christ (Mark 16:15-16; Acts 2:36-38).

Second, after we have become one of His children, our motto should be: “Use me, Lord.”

• Use my mind to learn thy will.

• Use my voice to praise your holy name.

• Use my hands to serve others.

• Use my eyes to see doors of opportunity.

• Use my feet to take the gospel to the lost.

• Use my heart to conform to the image of thy Son.

• Use every member of my body to glorify thee.

In Romans 6:13, Paul wrote: “Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin; but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.” In the last half of Romans 6:19, he writes again: “…even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.”

Use me Lord. Use all of me. Use all of me to thy glory!
