It has been said that a man’s character is like a fence. It cannot be strengthened by whitewash. That is why Jesus told the religious elite of His day that they were like “whitewashed tombs” (Matt. 23:27). They looked good on the outside, but were full of death and decay on the inside. Let us be virtuous to the core!
