Do you have a phone number you have memorized? Mine was my grandparent’s phone number, 363-3009. They have been dead for several years now. I have not used that number for a long time, but I still know their old number. Many people today do not memorize phone numbers much, we often store them in our phones.
Keith Park once asked, “Have you memorized God’s phone number? 3-3-3. Jeremiah 33:3, God said, “Call to me and I will answer you.” Prayer is calling up God and talking to Him. When we call God He always answers and always answers on His timetable. Sometimes God answers prayers with a “no,” “yes,” or “maybe later.”
But have you ever asked the question why do we pray? James 5:16 answers this. “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”
There are just some things that will not happen unless the righteous person prays.
Will you spend time in prayer? Remember God’s phone number: 3-3-3. (Jer. 33:3, call on God and He will answer).
