Some parents adopt a philosophy of letting their children follow their “natural bent.” Some say, “I am not going to try to influence my child when it comes to reli­gion. I will let him make his own decision.” One might as well reason, “I am not go­ ing to try to prejudice my garden in favor of strawberries. I am going to let the clods decide between weeds and berries.”
