When I started graduate school, I had an engaging teacher that loved his material. I looked forward to going to his class every session. Why? Enthusiasm. Every class. Every day. Everything he taught, he shared with a great enthusiasm. Students couldn’t help but be excited about what he was teaching because you could tell he loved what he did.
When I say enthusiasm, he wasn’t jumping on a table and hooting and hollering. He was enthusiastic about his studies and wanted nothing more than for us to understand everything he was teaching. He loved it that much and wanted us to love his favorite things, too. The only comparison I could make with this teacher is that to a child on Christmas morning. He was excited to open every present, examine it, and tell you everything about the gift that someone had brought him. That excitement was contagious.
Mentally, we should understand how blessed we are to have a God who provided a scheme of redemption and plan of salvation. Emotionally, it should break our hearts if we are not sharing this precious information with those around us because of the consequences of a life apart from God in eternity. This week, let’s share the soul saving Gospel with others (Matthew 28:19-20). And continue to live for Christ (Galatians 2:20).
