What is God to You?

[227 words]

“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods” Psalm 95:1-3.

We are to gather to sing for joy, shout aloud, come before Him thanksgiving and extol Him. Why? Be.cause He is great. He is God. He is the great King. He is above any idol that man would want to place beside Him or above Him. The reason why human secularism has such a hard time being “tolerant” of everything but Christianity is that it refuses to be put as an equal entrée on the same buffet of world religions. The Creator of all things cannot be lowered to the level of just another good teacher or good man and mentioned in the same breath as Confucious, Mohammed, or Ghandi. Rather, He lowered Himself to take on flesh and became thee life, thee truth, and thee way. The culture cannot win the war we’re in by proving God to be less than He is but by convincing His followers that He is. It wins by Christians compromising with the culture and containing Christ within the walls of the church buildings. Examine your worship, daily and weekly.
