Even though we have moved into the digital age, I continue to use a paper planner. I like being able to write thoughts, ideas, and make plans while turning pages. Each little block on a calendar represents 24 hours. As we write and plan on each block, do we make room for Jesus?
We see in Luke 2:7 there was no room for Jesus in the inn. We know Joseph and Mary were taking refuge from Herod. We know many people were in Bethlehem due to the census, which limited lodging. Micah 5:2 tells us where Jesus will be born. Had the inn keeper known Jesus needed a room, how would he have reacted?
What about us? We have access to Jesus through Scripture, and we have the Lord’s church in most communities of any size in our country. John 16:33 tells us Jesus has overcome the world. Jesus is seeking room in our life. Are we making room for Jesus in 2021? The world struggles to have room for Christ. Do we?
