Heavy Hands of a Leader

As Moses found out, the hands of a leader can get heavy (Exodus 17:8-13). Amalek had declared war on Israel, and Israel was assured victory as long as Moses could hold up the staff of God, but the battle outlasted Moses’ arms. Enter Aaron and Hur. They helped Moses keep his hands lifted the rest of the day until victory was secured. To every Christian who helps to lift the heavy hands that elders, deacons, and preachers sometimes struggle with in their fight for the gospel, thank you! Because of you, many victories have been won.
