Green, the lovely plants
nearby Calvary’s hill (John 19:41)
Red, the precious blood

Black, the darkened sky
as black as ne’er before (Luke 23:44)
Gray the ashen hue

How vivid Calv’ry’s scene
emblazoned from above
Could it be God brought forth colors
to remind us of His love?
