Ever been in a group of people and ask what time is it? How many answers did you get? You perhaps got as many answers as there were people with watches. Yet there is a place in Denver where time is correct to a split second. It is never wrong and many watches receive time from that place in Denver.
When you are with a group of people and ask a question dealing with spiritual matters how many answers do you think you will receive? About the same number when you asked about the time. Yet there is a place where those questions are answered in an absolute manner, where the answers are always correct.
Why then the confusion over the questions and the answers? Many are not looking for the correct answer. The Bible is where you find the correct answer and has often answered the question before we can think to ask (Heb. 4:12). The Bible can have a unifying effect on spiritual matters when it is believed and applied (1 Cor. 1:10).
The Bible is God’s book of directions, a guidebook for life. It gives spiritual light to guide in the darkest of nights. But when it stays on the coffee table never opened we will always get men ‘s answers to our spiritual questions.
