When you’re not at church, you are missed. You are missed by those you sit with during our assemblies. You are missed by those by our appointed shepherds. People are concerned about you when you are not present for our family’s time of worship. When you’re not at church, lots of people miss you because you are important to the church.
When you’re not at church, you are missing. You are missing opportunities to be encouraged by people who understand how difficult it is to maintain your faith in our world. You are missing time away from the distractions of the world where you can focus your energies on God. You are missing precious hours that are required to grow and maintain healthy relationships within the body. When you’re not at church, you miss out on one of the greatest blessings God has given to His People.
When you’re not at church, the church is missing. We are missing out on opportunities to learn about your struggles and spiritual needs. We are missing out on learning from your example and your words. We are missing opportunities for you to contribute your talent and your personality to the work of the church. We are missing your encouragement as a fellow soldier of Christ. When you are not at church, we are missing the vital part you play in our congregation.
When you ‘re not at church, the world is missing. It is missing one more person who might influence it toward Heaven. It is missing one more light that might cut through its darkness. It is missing one more example of putting God above all things at all times. When you’re not at church, the world is missing you as an evangelist.
When you’re not at church, God is missing. He is missing your voice rising up to Heaven in praise for Him. He is missing your heart and mind as you pray to Him. He is missing one of His children who have suddenly gone missing from the safety of His Camp. When you’re not at church, God is missing you.
