Meeting God on the Battlefield

  [247 words] In 2 Chronicles 20 we are given an interesting story about three nations on their way to destroy Israel and drive them out of the land. Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, was scared for his people when he caught wind of this massive army coming after them. The way it reads, they were no match for them at all. Jehoshaphat turned to God in his distress and prayed a prayer for his people, calling on the faithfulness of God and his care for his people. God responds to Jehoshaphat’s prayer and this is part of that response. “You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed.
