Climate change activists have seized upon the recent frigid temperatures to promote their ever-evolving theory of “global warming.” They claim that this “polar vortex” is further proof that our climate is changing and that if drastic measures aren’t taken soon to reverse it, the world as we know it will be destroyed. I don’t believe every theory the “global warmers” would have us believe! However, I do believe this world is coming to an end, and that belief is not based upon theory, but on the truth of God’s Word (Psa. 119:160; 2 Tim. 3:16-17)! Peter, by pen of inspiration, gives us facts concerning the destiny of this old world:
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up” (2 Peter 3:10).
Now that’s inspiration’s definition and promise of “global warming!” And there’s nothing you or I can do to reverse it! We can, however, prepare ourselves for that Day of Judgment, and by thus being prepared reverse the destiny of the soul (cf. Rom. 6:21; Heb. 9:27-28 ; Eph. 2:12ff)! Peter continues:
“Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness. Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall he dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Therefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless” (2 Peter 3:11-14).
I do agree! Drastic measures need to be taken immediately, because if they aren’t, countless millions will be burned up!
