Nothing New Under the Sun

[261 words] “That which has been is what will be. That which is done is what will be done. And there is nothing new under the sun” (Ecc. 1:9).  Looking back at the history of the church in the first century, the Bible Records many warnings against those who teach false doctrines (Gal. 1:6-9; 2 Tim. 4:1-4; 2 Peter 2:1-3; 1 John 4:1; Jude 4; and many others). It should not surprise us that there is still much false teaching that occurs today. Yet Paul wrote the Galatians that if anyone preached a different gospel from what he had been given, they were accursed, even if it was an angel from heaven (Gal. 1:8). Specifically, Paul was referring to some who wanted to bind parts of the law of Moses on Christians. We still have that same problem today.
