Night is Coming!

[304 words] Jesus healed a blind man. Before working the miracle, the Lord declared, “We must work the works of Him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world” (Jn. 9:4-5). Jesus knew his purpose in coming to earth. He was sent to ”preach the good news of the kingdom of God” (Lk. 4:43); He came to heal (Lk. 4:18). He descended to seek and save the lost (Lk. 19:10). He brought the abundant life (Jn. 10:10). There was a sense of urgency about His work on earth. Time was of the essence. The Son of God needed to accomplish His mission during the day of life. The night of death was approaching fast, after which His work on earth would be terminated. There was no time to…
