Words Of Truth

[306 words]

The people of God desire and strive to honor Him above all else. We wake each morning with the call to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” (Mark 12:30). We understand the need to “love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31).

It has never been popular but it has always been right to “fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all soul, and to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD” (Deuteronomy 10:12,13).

The life that honors God walks within the boundaries of “doing justice, loving kindness and walking humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8).

In spite of government atrocities throughout the New and Old Testaments, the people of God knew who the True King really was. In times of tumultuous social upheavals, the basic truth has been—and will be—to “Fear God and keep His commandments.”

In the world of today, we humble ourselves in obedience to Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We obediently apply the words of 1 Timothy 2:1-4, “First of all that supplications, prayers, intercession, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, Godly and dignified in every way. This is good and it is pleasing in the sight of God Our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

May we always encourage one another to live the obedient, prayerful life that seeks to please The Savior and desires all people to be saved.
