Staying Faithful in Daily Living

[221 words]

The great challenge for Christians is to stay faithful to God in daily living. In Revelation 2:10 we read, “Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” These words provide motivation for godly living in every age or time. It is a great encouragement to hear the Lord say “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.” Stephen understood the importance of faithfulness to God. He was faithful in his proclamation of God’s word. He likewise remained faithful as he was stoned to death for his faith. Paul is another example of one that stayed faithful. He wrote, “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” (2 Timothy 4:6-8). Are you faithful to God?
