After a week of binge drinking, a man stumbled home, drunk, sick, and weak. As he fell into his bed, he asked his brother who was a preacher to pray for him. The brother agreed and prayed, “O Lord, please help this old miserable drunken fool…”
When the drunken man heard this, he raised his head up and said, “Don’t tell God I’m drunk…just tell Him I’m sick!”
Well the truth is God already knew this man was a drunk. God is all-knowing. He sees us. He knows what we do, and why we do it.
The Bible states these words (1 John 3:20) “for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.” God knows everything.
We might hide our sins from our family or friends, but we cannot hide from God. God knows all about us. Are you ready to stand before God and give an account of how you lived?
