Why Should I Attend VBS?

[235 words]

Vacation Bible School is upon us again and you may be asking, “Why should I attend VBS?” VBS is another opportunity for spiritual growth! Jesus established His church as a community of His followers to worship God, encourage one another, and spread the Good News. Attending VBS will allow you to grow closer to God and be encouraged by your family.

Ephesians 5:25-27 says, “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy without blemish.” Christ’s relationship with His church is permanent. The world can know God’s love through the unity of believers and their commitment to Christ. Will you be committed to Christ during VBS?

First Thessalonians 5:11 says, “Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.” We, as believers, rely on each other to increase our faith and our commitment to Christ. We build each other up through love and service. Will you attend VBS to encourage others?

During Vacation Bible School, the Bible will be taught and spiritual growth is our focus! Will you attend this opportunity to grow closer to our Father and each other?
