One way to find joy in life, even through our own personal struggles, is to keep serving others. “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another” (Galatians 5:13). Being one who serves is part of what it means to follow Christ. A life lived by faith is a powerful life of service. A life lived by hope is a positive life (Romans 8:24). Your serving can be improved through the power of love. Genesis 29:20 tells us that love made Jacob’s seven years of service for Rachel seem like only a few days. Love makes service easy and burdens light. Service to God and others, love for God, love for others and love for good things make a person better. Make your life what the Lord wants it to be. Love and serve like you have never loved and served before. Learn to serve now, so that you will be ready to serve around the throne of God for eternity. I love you.
