2. Believers — For those who are able to understand and believe (Mark 16:16)

3. Before — Baptism comes before forgiveness (Acts 2:38)

4. Birth — Baptism is the new birth, the birth of a Christian (John 3:5)

5. Blood — The blood of Christ is applied to cleanse us from our sins (Rev. 1:5b)
