[111 words] Open hearts are needed to hear God’s truth! While traveling, the eunuch was reading from the book of Isaiah the prophet. Philip asked him if he understood what he was reading. Some people may have taken offense at the question, but the eunuch instead said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” The eunuch had an open heart, because he was studying God’s word, and he was willing to receive help in understanding it. He even asked an honest question regarding the Messiah spoken of in Isaiah 53. So many today are unwilling to study, admit need, or ask honest questions. How about you?
