Two women were talking one day when one shared she had a mountain of credit card debt, she had lost her job, the bank was taking the car, and her house was in foreclosure, but she was not worried about it. Her friend got excited and asked why she was not going to worry about all her problems. The first lady replied, “I hired a professional worrier, for $50,000 a year.” “Why that is great!” her friend exclaimed, “But how are you going to pay for his services?” “I don’t know,” came the reply. “That’s his worry.”
The Bible tells us there is a better way of dealing with worry and anxiety by stating, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Php. 4:6). Will you give your worries to the Lord?
