The Simplicity of the Gospel

Salvation is in Christ, and only in Christ. God sent His Son into the world to seek and save the lost, which is all of us. The good news (gospel) is that Jesus gave His life on the cross to redeem us from our sins. He died, was buried, but arose again, all to purchase us with His precious blood (1 Cor. 15:3,4; Acts 20:28). Jesus’  resurrection is our assurance that one day we too will arise from the grave to be judged according to the deeds we have done in this life (Romans 2:6). God’s inspired word says that to be in Christ we must believe in Him (Romans 10:9-14), we must repent of our sins (Luke 13:3), we must confess Him before men (Matt. 10:32) and we must be baptized for remission of our sins (Acts 2:38; 1 Cor. 12:13).
