How Do You Win Souls?

[214 words] “Finally the temple guards went back to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, ‘Why didn’t you bring him in?’ ‘No one ever spoke the way this man does,’ the guards declared” (John 7:45-46). Word was going around Jerusalem that Jesus might possibly be the Christ, and so those who believed themselves in control and authority and were afraid of losing it (earthly power is dependent on the will of the people), sent temple guards to arrest Him. Among the things the guards heard was Jesus declaring that which only God could do: that if they believed in Him, then streams of living water would flow from within them!
