The road is long, the night is deep,
Where doubts arise and shadows creep.
Yet one small lamp before my feet
Makes every careful step complete.
It does not show tomorrow’s bend,
Nor where the winding pathways end.
It gives enough for faith to see
The next step God has planned for me.
His words are brighter than the dawn,
When strength is gone, they lead me on.
The world may chase a fading light,
But truth still conquers darkest night.
Walk close beside the Shepherd’s voice;
Each faithful step becomes a choice.
The path grows clear from day to day,
When Scripture lights the pilgrim’s way.
